Building open source eLearning environment

Korea’s ODA projects expands, there is an increasing demand to learn about Korea’s advanced education model in foreign countries. Because hardware, network environment, solutions, contents, and services are different for each country, appropriate provision and methods are needed for each cases.

However, some method like the use of open educational tools and resources can be applied in common for every country. I wrote an issue report for KERIS this year and In this report, I proposed the construction of e-learning environment which can be commonly used in developing countries. In this report, based on researches on various e-learning solutions, contents, and services, it is suggested that how to construct an e-learning environment in the optimal combination of those factors. This can be applied not only to the developing countries but also to anybody or organisations who want to save the budget and implements stable e-Learning environment.
